+Where do I collect the Campervan from?

We are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, a 20-minute car journey from Edinburgh Airport and a 10 minute train journey from Edinburgh City Centre’s Waverley station.

+Can you meet us at the airport with the campervan?

Our campervans can only be collected and returned to our depot in Whitecraig.

+How long is the journey from Edinburgh to your depot?

From Edinburgh Airport

  • If arriving by car or taxi, it is a 20 to 25 minute journey
  • If traveling by public transport, we recommend allowing 1 ½ hours – 2 hours to arrive to our depot
  • If you have booked a transfer with us, a member of our team will meet you outside the arrivals gate with a sign bearing your name

From Edinburgh City Centre

  • If travelling by train we recommend the 10 minute train journey from Edinburgh Waverley to Wallyford train station, where we offer a complimentary transfer to our depot
  • If travelling by bus please allow 1 – 1 ½ hours to arrive at our depot
  • If you have booked a transfer with us, we will collect you from your hotel or stated address

+What is the earliest and latest time I can collect or return my Campervan?

Our collection times are between 2:00pm and 5:30pm. After this time, campervan collections are available until 7:30pm for an out of hours charge of £100 (customers have to be present in our depot by 7:30pm). On occasions, and if possible, we may be able to accommodate earlier collections, and if that is the case we will advise you prior to your arrival. Our return times are between 9am and 11am. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer late returns. If your flight is before 11:30am, we would suggest returning the vehicle the day before and book a hotel close to the airport.

+My flight lands into Edinburgh Airport after 6pm, can I still collect my Campervan?

From our experience, once you have landed, and not taking in consideration possible delays, it takes between 30 and 45 minutes to clear customs and collect your luggage. This together with the rush hour traffic will make it almost impossible to arrive at our premises before 7:30pm.

+Can I collect my campervan on a Sunday?

Yes, we offer campervan collections or returns on Sundays for an extra charge of £100.

+How long will it take for you to hand our campervan over to us?

From arrival to you leaving we recommend allowing 1 hour. When you arrive, we go through your rental agreement, together we will check your vehicle for damage, then we will show you how everything works inside your campervan.

+How long does returning our campervan take?

From your arrival to leaving we recommend allowing 30 minutes. Upon your return, will be checking your vehicle for damage and taking a signature to close our agreement.

+What should I pack?

We would recommend that you pack light, layer your clothes for weather changes and bringing insect repellent.

+What is included in the van?

We provide a large range of crockery, cutlery and utensils together with kitchen towels and emergency equipment as standard. Below is a list of what’s included:

  • Plates, Bowls & Cutlery
  • Table Mats
  • Fairy Liquid and Sponge
  • Metal Sieve and Grater

+Will there be entertainment in my van?

If you have booked a Medium, Deluxe, Deluxe Plus, or Deluxe Family you will have a flat screen TV with DVD player. All our vans are equipped with a USB port to charge your mobile phone or play music from.

+Can I bring and use a hairdryer and straighteners in the van?

We recommend bringing electrical equipment specific for travelling. This is because home electrical items are too powerful, they may trip the electrical circuit or possibly damage the van. We recommend low wattage specific items for travelling ie. travel toaster, travel hairdryer and travel kettle. Electrical sockets inside your campervan will only work when you are connected to an electrical hook up.

+Do I have to stay in Campsites?

All our vehicles are adapted so you can “wild camp”, this is when you are not in a campsite and are parked freely without an electrical connection. In Scotland, you may park freely in rural areas if you adhere to being 100 metres from a building and are not creating a dangerous situation for yourself or any other road user.

+Should I book campsites in advance?

We would recommend booking campsites in advance, especially during peak season which begins in the month of June until the end of August. Especially if you like to have the comfort of added facilities. You can find a listing of all campsites in Scotland on the following web sites:-

+Is there a grill or microwave in my Campervan?

Roseisle Luxury Campervans

My wife and daughter aged 5 and myself just spent one week driving through Scotland. The Landscape, the Scottish People and this particular travelling mode are a great combination. Apart from the last night in Edinburgh we camped "wild", which is very unproblematic in this country. The car was extremely comfortable, starting with the 2x2 m bed, toilet, shower (!!), heating, etc.. The Roseisle-Crew is efficient, professional and very likeable, with a personal way of dealing with the customer. I can recommend this firm without any Reservation. A Kammermeier.
